Who we are.
Hilary LaMonte and Craig Colgan joined forces in 2005 to form PotomacPlanet. The company's mission is to assist firms and organizations of all sizes in creating and enriching Web spaces for collaboration, community, and learning.
Hilary LaMonte has extensive experience in online community development and project implementation. Hilary has worked internationally and is also presently a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Virginia. Craig Colgan's background is print and Web journalism. He has reported on Web community issues for the Washington Post, National Journal, American School Board Journal, and other publications. Both Hilary and Craig have presented at national conferences on topics related to online community.
PotomacPlanet's work has included: managing a national Web-based professional development program for teachers in 48 states; developing Web tools and providing facilitation services for a multi-state K-12 research project; and numerous online community development projects in a variety of contexts, including development of a national Web-based learning center used in more than 40 states. And plenty of other stuff too.
